3Planets.com is one of Oak Park's Premier Internet Development and Consulting firms. It was started in 1999 and has been profitable since its inception. We are members of the Oak Park - River Forest Chamber of Commerce, Mont Clare - Elmwood Park Chamber of Commerce, Melrose Park Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Forest Park Chamber of Commerce.

The most common question is “where did that name come from?” When we started, we were trying to come up with a name. We went through all of the usual permutations of what we were doing, where we were doing it, and hoping the name would stand out, or in other words be unique enough to be memorable. Of course, it wouldn’t hurt to start with a letter high in the alphabet, in order to sort early in any list.

About that time, astronomers announced the discovery of 3 new planets outside the solar system... and that’s were our name came. It met many of our initial objectives, is very strong & memorable, ties in with our products and services, yet doesn’t limit us in our product offerings. As a big bonus, it sorts very nicely in any list since numbers come before letters.

Alex Jacobs brings more than 30 years experience in management, system design and implementation of practical systems. He successfully delivered systems for the mortgage, banking, consumer credit, retail and commercial real estate investment industries. For the last five years he has been involved in the Internet and related businesses in consultative, sales and technical roles.

Our staff includes talented graphic artists and inventive programmers who work together to create a web presence that is: fast-loading, visitor friendly, Search Engine Friendly® and reflect the unique qualities for each of our clients.
